Shuter Street Sewer Replacement

The sewer system (sanitary forcemain and gravity sewer) along Shuter Street is in need of replacement. Due to the poor state of this infrastructure, the Municipality is proceeding with the design and construction phase of this project.

This project is part of an Environmental Assessment process, which includes public engagement opportunities.

The project will involve:

  • Construction starting at the Mill Street Pumping Station, running eastward along Shuter Street
  • Replacement forcemain consisting of a 350mm pipe
  • Replacement gravity sewer pipe consisting of 250mm and 375mm sections with 1200mm maintenance holes 100m apart
  • All disturbed areas during construction, including culverts and driveways, will be reinstated
